Professional Experience

 

·         Presently Working as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Information and Communication Technology, School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Xiamen University (Malaysia Branch), from September 2020.


·         Also serving as a Senior Fellow at the Centre for Financial Regulation and Economic Development (CFRED), The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Sha Tin, Hong Kong, from where he successfully completed his postdoctoral research in August 2020..


·         Serving as a Visiting Research Fellow at the School of Applied Science, Computing and Engineering, Wrexham Glyndwr University, Wrexham, UK from May 2016.


·         Also serving as an External Examiner, The International Baccalaureate (IB), Cardiff, UK from June 2017.


·         Worked as an Assistant Professor of Network Engineering at the School of Computer Studies, AMA International University BAHRAIN (AMAIUB), Bahrain from November 2016 to April 2018.


·         Served as the Secretary, IEEE Special Interest Group on Humanitarian Technology (SIGHT), Bahrain Section, from December 2017 to May 2018.


·         Worked as a Lecturer and the Director of UoH Cisco Network Academy at the College of Computer Science and Software Engineering, University of Ha’il, Saudi Arabia from Sept 2009 till October 2016.


·         Has been selected as an MSP (Microsoft Student partner) and Volunteered for Microsoft UK Academic Team at the Glyndŵr University Campus from June 2008 to May 2009.


·         Has been elected (for two consecutive terms) as the Education Officer of the Students’ Guild of Glyndŵr University, UK for the academic year of 2007-08 and 2008-09.


·         As the YPG (Young Professional Group) Rep for the Chester and North Wales Branch of the British Computer Society from September 2006 to October 2009. I have been featured as a successful YPG rep on BCS website


·         As a Part-time Customer Service Consultant at the Post Office Ltd, part of the Royal Mail Group, UK from August 2007 to October 2009.


·         As Network Support Engineer under the GoWales Placement (A scheme by the Welsh Assembly Government ) at MCW Group Ltd from August 2006 to October 2006.


·         As a Volunteer Mentor (at Glyndŵr University ) Under the Reaching Higher, Reaching Wider Project of the Community University of North Wales from October 2004 to May 2005.
